Location

Val D’Orcia is a wide valley located in Tuscany, in the heart of Siena area: an essential landscape made of hills, ravines, the sinuous flow of the Orcia river, the cypresses along the roads, the Amiata Mount which dominates the west. The landscape, marked by the medieval path of the route Cassia, is characterised by oak woods, and olive groves and vineyards where excellent wines and olive oils are produced; medieval towns with their monuments, such as Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Monticchiello and Bagno Vignoni with its thermal waters, stand on the surrounding hills.
